Fairy Tale Endingsby *scarlet-dragonchild

The end begins with the knight
Who falls beneath his own banner and sword
Betrayed by gilded Gods and false chivalry

The princess with the heart of gold,
breaks her own heart and becomes a sacrifice
For she had spent her life above the sacrifices of others

The wise, all-knowing wizard
Finds himself on the other end of the puppeteer's thread
As stray threads always, always do come and wind itself back

And the dark, wounded hero
Impales himself on the edge of his blade
For amongst all the beasts he fought, he could not slay the one within himself

Thus the story ends
As each fails to find and slay the evils outside, and find ones inside instead
For this time we stay in our confines and merely watch
And live happily ever after, for a change

I just absolutely love this isn't the typical happily ever after with rainbows and the princess and princess get married, and the animals sing! and that this has a dark and twisted ending that is far more interesting and wonderful writing to the story in the artist comment!!
