I started out wanting to try out Steampunk combined with traditional Indonesian elements, but at some point my mind sort of ran off with the idea and I ended up having way too much fun with little symbols and stuff.

The five gears in the center of the picture ended up representing Pancasila - the five basic principles of Indonesia : The cotton and paddy for social justice, the Bull's head for democracy, the Tree for unity, the Chain for humanity, and the Star for belief in God. In Indonesian lore, the nation is often referred to as 'Ibu Pertiwi' or 'Mother Earth', thus our journey of truly finding her

At the end of your journey, you will find yourself in the halls of the Queen.

Some calls her the Mother. Some calls her Prativi, like the earth herself. Some says she watches over the land since the dawn of time, holding the soil and water of our home close to her heart. And still some others scoffs and denies that she exists at all.
Yet there she is before you, and she beckons you to come closer.

You will kneel before her and kiss her hand.
And she will give you five things.

A bale of cloth and rice, for you to use and share with all who journey with you
The horn of a bull, to call upon your kin in hours of need
The seed of a mighty tree, to plant and one day shelter ones you love
A garland of chains, to remind you that everyone you meet are equal parts of the same circle
And a shard of the sky, to light and guide your way in the darkest of places.

The Queen will say that finding her is not the end of your journey. It is merely a beginning. And these things, these five things are for you to keep and use as you continue on. Use them well. Keep them close to your heart.

She then smiles and whispers.
"I believe in you"

This is just wonderful. And it's done with traditional art, I can only imagine how satisfying it was to lose yourself in this. I'm jealous of your talent and imagination.
